Como Women eliminated in the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia
The match between Lazio and Como Women, valid for the round of 16 of the Italian Women's Cup, finishes 7-2 in favor of Lazio. Stefano Sottili's team took to the field making nine changes from their 2-1 league win over Grassadonia's team.
In the first half, despite opportunities created by Como with Bolden and Skorvankova, Lazio opened the scoring with Colombo in the 4th minute with a left-footed shot. They then doubled the lead in the 15th minute through Kajan, who scored one-on-one with De Bona, and in the 43rd minute, Colombo found the net again with a volley from inside the box.
In the second half, Kajan took center stage with goals in the 51st and 65th minutes. Como Women tried to make the scoreline less painful with goals from Picchi in the 56th minute and Nischler in the 85th, the latter from midfield. In the final stages, Lazio added two more goals from Reyes and Visentin to seal the 7-2 win.
Como Women will now focus on their upcoming home match against Napoli, in the 9th round of the Serie A eBay Women's League, scheduled for Sunday, November 10th at 12:30 PM at the Ferruccio Stadium in Seregno (MB).
