CEO Elena Mirandola guest at the Italian Tech Week
During the Italian Tech Week, the most important Italian tech event held in Turin from September 25 to 27 at the Officine Grandi Riparazioni industrial complex, Elena Mirandola, CEO of F.C. Como Women, was a guest speaker at the panel discussion "From the field to the boardroom: empowering women in sports and technology."
Also joining the panel with the CEO were Giorgio Chiellini, Head of Football Institutional Relations at Juventus and investor in Mercury/13, and footballer Sara Gama, captain of Juventus Women. The discussion, moderated by Luna Esposito, touched on topics such as female empowerment, the intersection between sports and technology, the challenges faced by women in male-dominated fields, and strategies to break down gender barriers.
"Like many other women, I have faced setbacks in my career because I am a woman. However, I believe it is important to be confident in what you are doing," said Elena Mirandola. "Families play a crucial role in encouraging and supporting girls in their choices. Those who have managed to move forward in their careers often had a family behind them that supported them, teaching them that any problem or obstacle can be overcome." The CEO added: "As parents, we have the duty to tell these girls that there is nothing in life they cannot achieve."
