Como, January 3, 2025 – January 4 will mark a historic moment for women’s football with the first friendly match between F.C. Como Women and Olympique de Marseille Women. This game highlights the ambitions and growth of women’s football in Europe. Olympique de Marseille Women, a team from the second division in France, will make its debut in Lombardy, facing the Italian team for the first time at the recently renovated Sport Village training center in Cislago (VA). The match, which will be closed to the public and by invitation only, represents an event that underscores the ambitions and growth of women’s football across Europe.

On January 3, players from F.C. Como Women and Olympique de Marseille Women met at the stunning Villa Olmo for a content day. During the day, both squads spent time together walking through the streets of Lake Como, sharing stories and experiences whilst participating in photoshoots and media content creation that further strengthened the bond between the two clubs in readiness for their friendly match the following day. This coming together highlights the ambitions of both clubs to build an ongoing collaboration both on and off the field, promoting shared values and innovative visions towards the exciting future of women’s football.
