“We had the courage to come here and go for it against Juventus. The attitude of the girls was certainly positive because they didn’t just wait for the game to come to them; they tried to cause problems and create chances"

In the first away game for the team coached by Stefano Sottili, the first defeat in the league comes against Juventus, who wins 4-2 over F.C. Como Women.
It was a match full of goals and open until the 81st minute when Krumbiegel scored the final 4-2, securing Juventus' second consecutive victory.

“We had the courage to come here and go for it against Juventus,” said Sottili in the post-match interview. “The attitude of the girls was certainly positive because they didn’t just wait for the game to come to them; they tried to cause problems and create chances.”

Indeed, Como Women immediately tried to trouble Canzi’s team, taking the lead in the 4th minute with a left-footed shot from outside the box by Kramzar, surprising the opposing goalkeeper. Juventus, however, responded quickly and equalized 11 minutes later through Caruso with a right-footed shot from the edge of the box, and then took the lead in the 19th minute with Bennison, who didn't miss in a one-on-one with Gilardi.

In the 35th minute, Bolden earned a foul in a promising position at the edge of the area, and a minute later, Nischler converted it into a 2-2 draw with a masterpiece free-kick over the wall, hitting the post and going in.

However, the score changed again in the second half, and the home team retook the lead in the 52nd minute with Bergamaschi, who found the net on her second attempt after Gilardi saved her first shot. Our girls tried on several occasions to equalize, such as in the 72nd minute when Nischler missed the target, shooting high.
The match ended 4-2 with Juventus’ fourth goal scored by the German midfielder.

“There’s certainly some regret about the result,” added Sottili. “We need to work on mental resilience and improve our performance level throughout the 90 minutes, but the girls are growing both physically and in terms of confidence. The goal is to get as many points as possible and start a journey where we are constantly improving.”
