Como Women present at the "A Life of Social" Campaign to educate young people on responsible internet use

This morning, 11th March, a delegation of Como Women attended the important educational event "A Life of Social", organised by the State Police, in Piazza Cavour in Como. The initiative, part of the "Connected Generations" project, aimed to raise young people's awareness of the correct use of social networks and the risks associated with the digital world.
The team participated in the day, represented by goalkeeper Valentina Soggiu, defender Agnete Marcussen, and forward Alexandra Kerr.
The athletes from Como Women shared their experience as high-level sportswomen, explaining to young people the importance of being a good example in the virtual world, just as they are on the field. They talked about how to use social media knowingly and educationally, so that young people can learn to interact online in a positive manner, without falling into the traps of cyberbullying and grooming. As role models, the players emphasised the importance of responsible behaviour, not only in everyday life but also towards those who follow them on social media.
With the support of the State Police, the project gave students the opportunity to interact directly with experts, participating in a series of educational activities. The event saw, in addition to the young students, the participation of local institutional authorities, a representation of the Como 1907 Primavera, the girls of Tecnoteam Volley from Albese (A2 series), and the boys of Libertas Volley from Cantù, all united in an effort to shed light on the dangers of the web and promote a healthier and safer use of the internet.
