“I’m very happy to be here, it’s an important recognition and it’s a great pride for me” said Miriam Picchi after the award ceremony. “I thank the AIC for its continuous support for women’s football, Como Women for allowing me to be here today, all the people who voted for my goal and all the coaches who have helped me grow throughout my career, particularly Fabio Melillo, who passed away last summer. Finally, a special thanks to my family without whom all this would not have been possible. My dream? To win with Como Women.”
